The situation
The product’s frontend had been built in Angular nearly a decade earlier. Over time it became harder to hire for, slower to change, and visually out of step with what customers expected. Small feature work carried disproportionate risk.
A traditional rewrite estimate stretched into months — longer than the business could comfortably wait, and expensive enough that leadership kept postponing the decision.
What we did
Centered treated the rewrite as a focused delivery sprint, not an open-ended modernization program. We rebuilt the frontend in React against the existing backend contracts, prioritizing parity on the flows customers actually used.
The first day established the new application shell and core screens. The rest of the week was spent on hard QA: edge cases, regressions, visual polish, and production readiness checks.
We did not try to redesign the entire product at once. The goal was a modern, maintainable frontend that could ship safely — then improve continuously.
The result
The rewritten application went to production within a week. Customers got a more stable, contemporary experience. The team got a codebase they could actually hire for and extend without fighting a decade of accumulated friction.
